Keeping Tree Care Crews Moving When Downtime Is Not an Option

For tree care professionals, equipment reliability and fast service are critical. Weather windows are tight, schedules are full, and downtime can quickly ripple through an entire operation. That reality shapes how Elite Field Service supports the crews who rely on them.
Founded in October 2021, Elite Field Service has grown quickly by focusing on responsiveness, availability, and practical support in the field. In mid-summer last year, the company expanded into a new 11,900 square foot facility in Wayland, Michigan to better serve customers across West Michigan and support the demands of the tree care industry.
“Our customers need answers and action, not delays,” said Elite President Josh Elyea. “This facility allows us to support them more efficiently and consistently.”
Designed to Reduce Downtime
The new facility brings equipment sales, rentals, parts, in-shop service, and 24/7 field support into one purpose-built space. Six drive-through service bays, a wash bay, an overhead crane, and a dedicated parts and service counter allow work to move through the shop quickly and with less friction.
Expanded parts storage and increased on-hand inventory help reduce delays caused by waiting for critical components. An upstairs training room supports technician development and ongoing education, helping ensure consistent service quality.
“When things go wrong in the field, speed and accuracy matter,” said Cam Roussey, Tree Care Manager at Elite Field Service. “This space helps us deliver both.”
Supporting Tree Care Equipment and Crews
Elite Field Service provides equipment sales, rentals, and service for tree care professionals, supporting machines such as CMC spider lifts, GiANT articulated loaders, and Manitou skid/track loaders and rotating telehandlers with woodcracker heads. With expanded yard space and shop capacity, the team can stock more equipment, complete service work efficiently, and respond quickly when crews need support.
For tree care professionals, having an equipment partner who understands the urgency of the work and the realities of the jobsite can make a meaningful difference throughout the season.
Built Around an “Elite” Level of Service
Elite Field Service currently employs 30 team members and continues to invest in roles that directly support customers, including additions in parts, service, and sales. The company is also developing future technicians through an apprentice-style approach, training individuals to work to Elite’s standards before transitioning into independent shop or field service roles.
For tree care professionals, consistency matters. Crews operate in unpredictable conditions, balancing safety, efficiency, and tight timelines. An elite level of service means being available when equipment breaks, responding in the field without delay, and offering honest guidance on what needs immediate attention and what can wait.
“Our goal is to be a long-term partner to tree care professionals,” said Roussey. “That means showing up when it matters, doing the job right, and standing behind the work we do.”
While the expanded facility supports that mission, it is the day-to-day commitment behind the work that defines Elite Field Service. For tree care crews, it is about knowing that when support is needed, it will be handled with care, consistency, and professionalism.
